I started at Velvac in July of 2021 and have been working here for over 2 years as a Graphic Design and Marketing Intern. During this time I have worked on two major projects including updating a 250 page catalog and starting a project for producing 360 degree photos of company parts. While working on those bigger projects, I was also photoshopping part images, creating marketing flyers, labels, templates, and worked with Human Resources for any flyers or events they needed help with.
PRODUCT CATALOG
I joined Velvac to help update their Catalog and worked on this project for the first year while I was working with the company. The catalog is over 250 pages and we printed around 10,000 copies. This was an amazing learning opportunity because I was given the lead on editing the catalog with my team. I feel that this project has developed me the most in my skill with using InDesign. I continue to update the catalog until the company decides to print again.

360 DEGREE PHOTOGRAPHY
This was one of the most intimidating, yet most rewarding projects that I was assigned to. This project started off with a question of, "How can we create 360 degree images and put them on our future website?". I researched for several days trying to find the best software that already had the process figured out, and Iconasys software seemed to be the best to produce these.
Iconasys software was a game changer in creating these photos, and after several meetings with the developers, I was able to create a work instruction for Velvac on how to complete these images. My team and I created our own light box and turn table set up, and after three months of researching, learning, and experimenting, I started producing the 360 photos.
Here is one of the many 360 degree photos that I created.
The Iconasys software provided consistency and detail within each 360 part image. During this process, I learned a lot about file organization, photography lighting, compatible files for a website, and warehouse layout and function.
Each photo takes about 15-20 minutes to produce and I have created 227 photos so far... there are over 5,000 parts to photograph.

I have learned so much from working at Velvac for the past two years. I am proud of the variety of projects I was able to complete and I am grateful for the skills I have learned through this experience.
